Profile

Qiaoye is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Sustainability at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. 

She is working with Amir Amel-Zadeh, Associate Professor in Accounting, as part of the HEC Montréal and Saïd Business School ‘Measuring Beyond’ initiative, which will ultimately help to develop sustainable business.

Qiaoye did her Ph.D. at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick.

Research

Qiaoye’s research can be broadly summarized as understanding how climate change affects the decision-making of stakeholders. She is currently working on three studies covering these themes:

  • Are retail investors attracted to green firms? Evidence from extreme weather events
  • Extreme weather events and audit quality
  • Extreme weather events and corporate ESG decoupling
